I'm am sick and tired of "friends" completely lying to your face just because they dont have the balls to stand up and be a man and tell you the TRUTH. Then they are the ones who turn around and get angry at you for arcing up at them when you find out that they did lie..... Where the hell is the fucking justice in that shit.

Ninty percent of the time, they are just saying the lie to cover their asses, they dont really give a shit about you or your feelings as long as they dont get hurt by it. Best way to fuck up a friendship is to come right out with a bloody blunt lie, espcially if you know you have caught them out and ask them straight to their face and they fucking cover the first lie with another one. IF YOU GET CAUGHT, safe what ever friendship is left and FUCKING confess and TELL THE TRUTH FOR ONCE.

Or better yet tell the FUCKING TRUTH to begin with.

Feel free to add any imput - either agreeing or dissagreeing to this. It doesnt really bother me as to how others feel thats just my opinion. I'm not gonna hold it against anyone who doesn't feel the same way..... I just needed to get it off my chest.

Lying is the one consistent thing with any friends, which is why most friends suck!

Personally, I never lie. I always tell the truth, someone'll appreciate it someday.

On the positive side, lying can be a good thing. Like my neighbours, this morning, were having a huge argument, mainly focused around them lying to each other. It probably sucked for them, but it was great entertainment for me!
It kept me busy for a good hour anyway.

I dont feel as good as i thought i would. Seeing the hurt down in writing instead of just in my head seems to get me just as upset. Though at the time it did help me and make me feel good.

I know what you mean about the lying. I guess we all hedge to keep from hurting our friend's feelings but the out and out lie, that's different.

I hate the "clinton" type lies people use. It's not even close to the truth, it just depends on the individual's definitions. It destroys any trust in the relationship because you constantly look for loop holes in everything they say.

This part is how i feel most of the time when i find out a friend has lied to me, it feels like they didnt have faith in you to be able to handle the truth to begin with.

The rest of what you said Jas is also true, this part just very much an important factor to me.

I'm half curious what they lied to you about. Were you 'button pushing' or were they doing something wrong that they lied about?

I either tell the truth or tell 'em it's none of their business. 'Course, it's not much of a problem 'cos I don't do anything I'm embarrased about; if it's bad, I don't do it. HOWEVER, guys don't typically ask the kinds of questions of their friends that some women love to. There's no correct way to answer "does this make my butt look fat?" 'cos lying about it will get you in trouble, and telling her that it's not the fault of the pants will too!

Example: a friend of mine weighed nearly 500 pounds. She'd lost 80 of it and was ecstatic. I really couldn't tell the difference, but that's not what she needed. How in hell am I supposed to tell her the truth without destroying the moment and crushing her achievement?? I mean, I was proud that she had the gumption to DO it, but I honestly couldn't see a change.

Ya gotta love the ladies, but PLEASE don't ask us questions you already know the answer to just to see us squirm over the morality of telling you what you want to hear! If you ask me "Wasn't that the best fuck you've ever had?" I'll enthusiastically agree if you're nutty enough to ask it. If I told you it's 9 out of 10, you'd be upset for no good reason and I'd end up with Rosy Palm for a date... and EVERYONE has room for improvement. I'm just as human as the next person, and I don't like causing someone grievous emotional pain if it's easily avoided.

It is all better now, and i have spoken to the main person who caused me to feel that hurt to have made me go off like that. Though at times i still find the friendship a bit stressed cause i dont know if they will lie again.

To me, if a very good friend lies no matter if its a small lie or a big one, it still upsets and angers me as to me it shows they dont have the same respect for the friendship that i have.

I am not about to say what it was that they lied about, just that it was hurtful.

Thank you to everyone who gave me their own imput in this thread, very much appreciated.
