Music!
OK, music.
I love it. It's as important to me as the air I breathe. what are your fave bands/types of music? Been to any concerts? I was raised on classic rock, love it. Eventually branched out into heavy metal. AC/DC is my fave band of all time, hands down. Rush, Cheap trick, King Diamond, Rammstein, Slayer, Iron Maiden, old Aerosmith, Alice Cooper.....the goodies Shows- I've seen Cheap Trick 8 times (hey, love 'em and they're easy to see lol), Alice Cooper, Styx, Chicago, and this past July FINALLY got to see Rush for the first time. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. talk about getting my moneys' worth a hundred times over. BEST SHOW EVER.

I also prefer the classics stuff..... Rush, Pink Floyd and Iron Maiden are still my favorite to this day.... But I listen to everything.
You are right about the Rush show. Fucking amazing. Roger Waters touring the wall. Fuck me. Greatest show I have seen in my life. totally mind blowing. Saw Maiden a few years ago in Toronto.... They sound amazing live.

Thanks! Last concert I went to was Kiss and Motley Crue. A month before that, went to a festival that had Motorhead, Slayer and Anthrax.

Hold Me Down, I'm usually the only person around talking about Kind Diamond, it warms my heart to see you know them. Abigail is my fav album, along with Fatal Portrait.
Seen Maiden twice. First time the sound engineer had a joint and he screwed up all volume levels you could not hear the guitars, only bass drums and vocal lines......second time they had better technicians around and it was awesome. There's something in common between Maiden Shows and AcDc shows, you really feel like they're ready to drop blood to have you satisfied. Too many bands are changing their attitudes on stage, like Metallica for instance, first time I saw them in 'Metal Hammer Fest' they thrashed 'And Justice For All' out of a powerful show, second time for the 'Monsters Of Rocks' they were into the slipper rock n roll state of mind. |

bjc......DAMN, I am jealous. Motorhead, Slayer AND Anthrax!!! what a kickass show!!!
But...no mosh pits for me. I was in one in high school, I didn't enjoy myself very much lmao!! Now I feel like blasting Orgasmatron and Among The Living. (been listening to Slayer a lot lately, so maybe time to switch things up) Shysnale, oh hell yeah I love the King!!! His solo stuff and Mercyful Fate are equally amazing. I love his stuff with Andy LaRocque- talk about a killer guitarist. Oh, I can say with great confidence that AC/DC would blow Metallica out of the water. They are the sort of band who would shed blood for their performance, you're right! Diehard fan here, I bleed lightning bolts!! \m/ lol I got the Dirty Deeds album on tape when I was 12- by the end of that first night I had all the words to every song memorized. Over and over, it just played on repeat all day. By the end of that first week of owning the album, I had an entire wall in my bedroom covered in AC/DC pictures.

Oh yeah- that mosh pit show was KMFDM. Free ticket from a friend, so whatever. lol.
I also went to the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival- due to my brother's then-gf being a total spoiled bitch, she complained so much we ended up leaving early. Let's be real here, that was my ONLY chance to see Clapton, Steve Winwood AND Jeff Beck live. I was enraged. She told my brother I "scared her" lol. Oh well. I still saw great musicians- BB King, Doyle Bramhall II, Johnny Winter, and the one that just made my jaw drop....Robert Cray. HUGE fan of his. Strong Persuader is most definitely in my top 5 favourite albums of all time. Love the blues.

Arch Enemy.
While I don't necessarily enjoy the screamo style, Arch Enemy does it in such a way as to perfectly blend in the screaming lyrics and music. Add to it that a woman sounds like that instead of a man - and it's her real voice, not lip synching - it adds more flavor into it. Their show is among the best I've seen. I've been to Vans Warped Tour for a few years and seen bands like Bowling for Soup, Yellowcard, Simple Plan, etc. 30 Seconds to Mars was also a good show. Only other I can think of off the top of my head is Trans Siberian Orchestra. Their shows are amazing - but way, way too long lol.

My musical tastes are pretty eclectic, everything from classical to rock, with stops off at country, blues and the odd bit of soul
