its one of the reasons the russian scenarios don't do as much for me, I don't understand them most of the time.

I never saw a porno film 'till the 70's when most of the imports were Super 8 silent movies.I still play clips and movies silent except for rape clips from mainstream movies where the acting is more convincing .Perhaps this silent thing is voyeurism because in my formative years Victoriaism was still the norm and still is to a certain extent in anglo saxon colonies.

Well, just a quick shot from the opposing camp, I'm not big on dialog. Dialog is a hard thing to do in any situation because it takes actual acting skill to sound good. When I'm not being a sicko and watching these clips, I'm actually something of a movie buff and afficianado. So, basically, if they dont have the acting skill of a Gregory Peck or a Judi Dench, I'm probably going to find the dialog forced or cheesy like a bad soap opera.

Pornos are especially terrible... until the moaning and groaning start, I usually turn the sound off. That's why I like the euro-rape scenes best, they dont try to stilt the scene with cheesy stilted dialog delivered by people who couldn't act their way out of a paper bag.

For me, in a rape scene, the dramatic and "horror" build up to it is the best. The stalking, entrapment, feeling the lustcrazed evil excitement of the rapist and the fear of the victum through facial expressions and the opening scenes of chase and overpowering. I guess its that whole "show me dont tell me" thing that writing teachers keep saying.

lol, I sound like that russian guy from "Outrageous Fortune" during that scene where Shelly Long's character "dies" in class. But hey, since everyone's touting dialog, I thought you'd wanna hear the devil's advocate from the other side
