Any substance that significantly alters your brain chemistry is probably going to have negative side effects. Especially when there is no specific reason to be altering that chemistry.

It doesn't matter to me one way or another if you decide to smoke marijuana or not, but it has been proven to have some serious negative side effects and you'd be smoking marijuana at your own risk.

As far as alcohol and tobacco, yeah they are a lot worse for you. But then, jumping off of a cliff is probably a lot worse than jumping off of your roof, but they are both still detrimental to your health.

Agreed, but people would hardly judge those two jumpers differently, where-as the utterly hypocritcal crap spoken about cannabis as opposed to alcohol and tobacco makes me sick.

I definitely understand where you are coming from. To be honest I have no idea why Marijuana is illegal in the US and in my opinion, keeping it illegal causes a lot more problems than if it were legal. Especially considering the government could pull money in from taxable sales of marijuana and it would work on lowering crime as well.

I've heard tons of different stories as to why it is still illegal (conspiracies mostly) and whatever the truth is, its probably not a very good reason.

Well I can tell you that I had to quit because I suffered some type of seizure or respitory shutdown type of thing that even doctor's could not figure out what the fuck happened? It happened 3 times, yeah it took me that long to quit. LOL Pretty scary feeling too. However, I was not the moderate user, I smoked morning, noon, and night. I was most definitely a pothead. Now I've been 4 years in July without any and I don't miss it. Besides the medical issues, it's damned expensive now.

Well having been a chronic pothead, I'll chime in on this subject one more time.

I smoked the stuff from a young age until about 4 years ago. Though I did quit for long periods several times, trying to kick the habit for good. Anyways, I have never had a psychotic episode due to smoking weed. At least that's my opinion. Now that does not mean I've never had a psychotic episode.

I've had a few temper tantrums and tore my room up when I was younger. I don't do that anymore. The only thing I can say that happened to me was that when I was without my smoke I was grumpy and irratable. So anybody who thinks that weed is not addictive is sadly mistaken. It is as addictive as any other drug, it's just easier to kick the habit than other drugs, such as, heroin, coke/crack, alchohol, and pills.
