I'M MAD!!!! (for real)
Guys...today a real close friend of me has been busted by the cops...and now he will go in jail...
 well...i'm a sort of lawyer...so i already know what is going to happens...he will go in prison for a couple of years... he is a real cool person...he never been in jail before...so i'm very worried for him...i feel like a shit right now... today i saw his brother...he is only 20...and he is lecterally destroyed...beh life really sucks sometimes...  for me this week has been just awful...with this last "new" i "touched" the limit...

Trust me, it could be worse. With a raging staph infection, I gave a eulogy at one of my best friend’s funeral a little more than a week ago! Two years for some infraction is much better than not ever seeing him again (at least in this life)! Years ago, I saw an old black and white war movie. There was some sailor bitching about how bad things were. An older seasoned veteran told him not to worry, because things could always be worse. When questioned, he went on to say that one of his friends had gone out with one of his shipmate’s wife. He was caught in the act and was beaten to a pulp; both legs and both arms had been broken and the shipmate was totally messed up. The younger sailor asked how anything could be worse than that! The older sailor simply said, “The night before, I was out with herâ€. |

Well, if he committed a crime then that's what he gets... Id know it sucks to loose friends though, even if it's only a couple of years, so I hope you can get through this and visit him whenever you get the chance.

Having had two friends get locked up.(one still to this day)I can kinda understand how you feel.It's a helpless feeling.
All you can do now is be there for your friend as much as you can.Give support any way you can. Im sorry to hear about this man. |

That sucks bro, did he really get busted for a minor drug infringment? That really sucks, you guys should come to the UK and chill out with me, you can get away with stuff like that easy.
I know your gonna do it anyways cos your a cool guy, but yeah support your friend and offer some help for his family if they need it while he's away. Can you do things like add money to his prison account so he can buy extra things? Always sucks to lose a friend man so i'm sorry to hear about this. |

Thank you guys...yes it's not a simple situation for me...
i must say that i think like HRH1948...we should have the right to ruin our health with the drugs as well... btw in this case we are just talking of "hash"...he has been busted with something like 30/40 gr of smoke... for me is insane that now he will go in jail for two years...beh for me a bottle whisky is totally more dangerous then that... i'm not saying it because i smoke, i saying this with a reason, i'm not a kid you know...i know what i'm talking about... unfortunatelly for the law now the lights drugs are considered "equals" as the hard ones...this is no sense to me. Since i know well what it can happens if you use the heroin...i lost four freinds of mine for that shit... so yeah i can say that for me something is not ok here...

as others have said all you can do is provide what support via visits and perhaps whatever will help your friend do the time speaking of time it heals all wounds so give it some and it will help. for what its worth (if I understand correctly) 30 to 40 grams of hash in the US will get you a possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute charge. Dependant upon your criminal history the outcome could be similar unless you have a money tree in the back yard to trim and pour into the legal system. chin up mate very sorry for you and your friend |

this sucks MARADONA srry to hear about it - if all you guy (his friends) get together with his lawyer and make character witness it may help him! most judge's are swayed by this kind of testimony even if they claim they not.

Oh hang on, I didn't see where it said that this was over drugs.
In that case I take back what I said. As someone who does a number of drugs my view is probably one sided, but I honestly don't see why someone who does something like that in their own home should be locked up with rapists and murderers.
