You want a real Pizza come to Chicago for some deep dish pizzas that are a meal in themselves, and of course throw in a pitcher of Icy beer....yummmm!

Yeah we have that kind of pizza too...since is an our creation as well...but the real pizza has to be thin like a "piadina" you know...
that kind of pizza is more like a big Focaccia with some mozzarella and pomodoro placed over it...but it's good!

I respect the chinese tradition...they are amazing for sure...but if we talks of take-away restaurants...beh!

If i have to be total honest i think that all of you should take a vacation in Italia and try two things:

1) The real pizza napoletana

2) The real piadina romagnola...(you must go in Romagna for try it)

Btw now i'm curious to talk about of another tipical sandwitch..."il panino con la salamella"...

Usually we ate this kind of sandwitch in different places like "social parties" or else...it's very simple but so good!!!

The salamella is obtained from the pork shoulder...with salt and heavy italian pepper!

I have to tell you that fettucini is wrong...the proper name is fettucine...fettucini is used only in foreign places...
btw my mom is very good to make the lasagna...but it's not my fav dish...i'm more for the spaghetti!!!!

well said, while i do believe the kebab to be an older dish, i can't help but think that pizza has overtaken the kebab in terms of (i would say popularity, but this thread has proven otherwise) icon-ism, if that's a word.

I don't know i just feel like if i was in a room full of people, especially drunk/high people and took a poll of what they wanted to eat, pizza would win handily. It's just that fuckin exciting to get pizza, it's an experience.

I think that is because society sadly no longer endorses the skewering of our enemies innards. But beware! The sipping of cheap Californian rose will soon become frowned upon and pizza too will lose its footing on the rungs of civilisation, to be cruelly replaced by falafel.
