And I will say again, this movie was a stinking pile of propaganda that maintained...no...increased the state of fear amongst US citizens and massively over blew the real threat of Communism during that period.

AND just to show my comment was in fact merely a statement of belief rather than of political belief...I would also point out that 'The Day After' was also a blatant piece of propaganda.

But seriously, of course it was propagnada, the whole premise was ridiculous, the Red Army never came close to having the kind of capability they did in the movie. I'm about three degress to the right of Attilla the Hun, and I recognize that.

Not sure what there is to argue about here, it was a movie, fun to watch, but I don't think it moved public opinion much in either direction.
