I can only re-state that implementation of this rule had also a legal background. After all many stated consider even underage porn a crime and we just decided keeping underage rape fantasies just wasn't worth the risk and the strong rejection many members felt.
There will always be members who agree and disagree on some things done, that's never going to change. But that isssue is also being discussed right now.

It wasn’t removed because no rules were broken. That rule hasn’t changed at all since then, other than the Real Rape thread exception, it is only the mods’ interpretation that has. I’d say you guys are talking to admin about this at the moment, and I’ll put it this way, he didn’t edit the 2005 thread and I’m willing to bet he wouldn’t have edited the 2008 one. This is not saying he and Grm are better than you guys, it’s just something to think about.

Sorry to (partially) disappoint you. Admin usually doesn't take part in board moderation or handling of threads, members, rules, etc. at all. He only steps in when asked to by us or when he feels a certain need for intervention.
Aside from those ocassions he leaves the board to us.
But still - we DO think about it.

That's right, this is the only thing that could possibly annoy me enough to speak out like this. I haven't complained in over 2 years, and this had never happened to me before, so the math is pretty simple. But even then, I had said my piece in the other thread and dropped it. Then Clean brought it up, and it just happened to be a couple of days later, so I gave my opinion again since it is being discussed. Now I'm over it, for the second time. I'm a peaceful Irishman!

Well, admin also never criticised my decisions either. In fact he hasn't felt the need to get involved at all in all the moderators' decisions for a very long time.

I never said admin would mind, same as I never objected your proposal to loosen up a little.
Concerning the underage rule (only): It's true innocent (as well as other members, especially ones with children) objected to the underage stories on the board and it's true innocent left because of it because she made a decision what is more important to her. That should be honoured.
You are wrong about one thing however - Admin decided to implement the "no underage rule" for legal considerations, not because members left (or threatened to leave), some members just decided to return to the board after the rule was put up. That rule is not going to change.
One issue being discussed is the leeway and flexibility moderators should give and use when evaluating threads, posts, etc. but not that specific rule in general.
