4000 Posts!!! Let The Trumpets Sound!!! - Rape Board

A landmark achievement is just about to occur. Our own Phantom is just about to make his 4000th post â€“ the first non-staffer at RB to do so. Post-whoreishness raised to its pinnacle.

When I first realized that Phantom was getting close to 4,000 posts and that I would do the tribute post, I was thrilled. And then came the horror...the realization that in the span of a few minutes, I'd have to do justice to one of the icons here â€“ the man you love to hate and hate to love. Daunting, to say the least.

What is there to say about Phantom that has not already been said? We can talk about his creativity in creating some of RBâ€™s longest active threads (the cartoon character one is a prime example)

We can talk about his dedication in crafting one of the most popular events in RB history â€“ the Phantom awards â€“ and by doing so galvanized an army of people, some of whom had not been on RB in months or even years.

We can talk about his sense of justice, taking on the ones who would ruin this board with their bullying and spammishness. Most of you will have no idea how much time Phantom has spent working with the RB management to right some wrongs and make sure the vermin donâ€™t overrun the board.

We can talk about his legendary skill in crafting flames that are quite simply classics in the art form. Once roused, his ire is not only formidable but expressed with great wit and eloquence. When a Phantom flame is in the offing, most of us sit behind a blast shield with a bowl of popcorn to watch the fun.

We can do this all day long, can't we? Phantom is, quite simply, an RB legend. Period. And he is one who despises being called such, because he's still vital, still rebellious, still questioning...still writing. He keeps going, which brings us to the present time.

So here's what we're gonna do...in recent days, I contacted a few of Phantomâ€™s friends and a few adversaries. I asked them for their thoughts. A few of their offerings follow. I hope you will also post your tribute, or maybe roast him a little, just to spice things up. If you choose to roast him, please do so with something approaching the humor Phantom brings to his roasts.

Phantom, you've more than earned this tribute. On behalf of myself and the legions of readers and creators that you've inspired, enlightened, and championed, we cheer you today and we cherish you forever. Our most rebellious, heart-felt thanks, and congratulations on becoming the first non-staff member of RB to reach 4,000 posts.

So let the trumpets sound. This is a memorable event.

Phantom my friend, from the day you came to this board, I have never met anyone more persistent on posting as frequently as you, and in such large font and long winded fashion, despite others' efforts to stop you.

This determination is a natural ability, a God given talent, one that in time, we all must come to appreciate and respect. From ego's to religious nuts, no one on the receiving end of your flames have been the same since, nor have the eyes of those who read every message.

Phantom, I urge you never to post another 4,000 times. But truthfully, I'll be even more disappointed if you don't, because that means for the first time you will let one idiot win over this entire great community.

That brings up a really good question... Why doesn't RB have it's own T-shirt to spread?

It would be like totally cool to wear and the advertisement value for this site would be huge! It would even make the ladies go crazy from just seeing you.
