The problem is that in order to be an effective moderator and do the job properly, you are sometimes required to come off as an ass. In this age of the politically correct, most people want to constantly feel the warm fuzzy glow of fake love. There is an inherent contradiction in the job description. Fucking follow the rules and all will be well. Don't follow the rules and CR will rain all over your parade with napalm and Claymores.

Years of training and tireless work are required for most to effectively achieve greatness as a moderator/ass. However, Crotch Ripper is a self made man and a "natural". I suspect that it also has something to to do with his years of military training and the related required discipline.

Did I miss something here?

I started off this thread to heap shit on Phantom for the recent outage and here we are ending up lauding CR as the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I vote Phantom changes his name to the "Teflon Bandit" as nothing sticks to him at all. He slid out quite adroitly from this one and didn't even take the stand.

Or does he just have a good lawyer?
