Rape movies and increase of sizes - Rape Board

Anyone else notice who has been into this fetish for a number of years (14 at least for me) that the movies today are getting larger and larger therefore taking longer and longer to download?

Years ago a 20 minute movie would be big at say 150mb, now alot of these HD movies coming out range from 900mb to 1.5gb easy...

Its good to see great quality in the movies these days from the grainier ones of the past( thought i think some of the older grainier ones for that reason look more realistic).

The issue is that the download speeds of most ISP providers are not keeping pace with the sizes that some of these movies are coming out by giving us better download rates - not to mention the need for the larger HDDS .

What are your thoughts?

The biggest change is resolution. As cameras improve, he size of the files increase as there is more digital information packed into the same video length. There are ISPs that provide sufficient band width to keep up but most of us can't justify the increase in our monthly bill. Those old films were taken with analog cameras and then years later converted to digital. You aren't likely to see that method used again as it simply isn't profitable. most customers are going to want the clearest picture possible.

after loosing tons of goods a while back, it's a pisser to try to get stuff nowadays.

Servers are slower & suck - all because (somebody can describe better than me) a whileback, sometime around the new years, alot of servers either stopped or was shut down cause of the fucking goverment shit.

So thank the goverment for all goes on! (seems like goverment people are in charge).

But it sure isn't like it use to be.

I agree, but I think it's worth it up to a point. 1 gig + for a 20 minute vid is not worth it IMO...upto 700-800 for a HD vid...I find that acceptable. The only 1GB+ files I download are usually Asian vids...they usually have 1-2hrs of action.

Also, depending on your country, usage limits set by ISPs are getting to be an issue. I'm in Canada myself, and this has been pissing me off.

It does help though that some posters (especially on RB) edit out some of crap in the files (like 15 minutes of HD plot set up before anything happens in the movie). That cuts down the size sometimes.

As for larger HDDs...I edit my own files down and reduce the quality slightly to increase my capacity.

It's all about the size of the content. HD, as others have noted, are going to take longer to download regardless of your connection speed.

As for the servers being shutdown, it was because they were serving copyrighted material. I guess you can blame the government(s) if you want to, but they were caught doing something illegal. What they didn't tell you is that they were also serving up spam and viruses and the like. I for one am glad they got shut down.

Having said that, I am not having any issues. I run a 25mb pipeline into the house and that might have a lot to do with it. If you're running DSL you're going to have problems. If your ISP is monitoring your bandwidth usage, they may cut you back as well. The cost of that amount of bandwidth only runs about $10 a month more if you have a decent ISP.

Size irrelevant. Broadband Internet plus cheap storage means no issues!

Size is relevant when downloading for free. Not everybody can afford Oron or other premium services. In the old days Rapidshare was great 15 minutes between downloads. Megaupload, Filesoning and Mediafire also were good servers. Yeah I know-Mega and sonic go bye bye for obvious reasons.
Mediafire is still around and kicking strong and in my opinion the best out there. Rapidgator is the next best as their wait times arent bad.
Another small prob for us old school guys is new content. Yeah there is some new stuff
we haven't seen but I'd guess 90% of it is reposts. Which is great for the newcomers and those whose hard drives have crashed.

I think it is worth to wait until one day to get all 3 or 4 parts of a vid when you can see the action in HD. When I remember the old stuff where the picture quality is so bad that you wondering if he is rape her or massage her this is like heaven when the resulotion is high and you can see the babe in a realistic sharpe, that makes you think she is in your room.

Of course it took some time and hard drive space but like I said it is worth it. And remember that we get this stuff for free, so some compromises are a fair price for it.

And hope is given when the 10bit encoding would be the standard everywhere. When the encoder do it right, this vids have a better quality with less file size.
