Welcome to the site. I might suggest that you would be better introduced in the "introduction section". Just a thought.

It's a spambot, not a person. Hence the link in the post. Spambots spam links across websites in order to boost the site's Google PageRank, because Google places your site higher in search results depending on how many links there are to it.

Just ban it, and especially delete the link (because being banned with the link still intact is still a success for the spammer).

One post is suspicious probably, but I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. I just don't wanna see spambots like this take over these forums.

The reason they probably are not allowed to ban IP's is cause someone has to have the ultimate authority and power. If you hand it all out... then... then... well I don't know what, but it still makes sense not to let everyone have all the power.
