These are all just generalizations. Nothing that the opposite sex does bugs me...its stuff that people do that bug me. Certain people.

People who talk to too much, people who are always in your business. I hate that.

One thing I will say about some men is that they have a dry sense of humor. You cant even tell if they just made a joke.

I own 5 pairs of shoes. One for the gym/everyday, sandals for work/everyday, a pair of silver heals I had to buy for my friends wedding, Gold heals just because they were cute, and two pairs of boots.

Shoes are the last thing on my mind.....

I agree with what you say about some women and shoes...wtf? Well...their money not mine.

Now handbags are a different story.

Sierra this is the reason I hate generalizing. Not all of one gender does one thing or the other. It pisses me off.

There are men who cant dress for shit, there are men who have more pairs of designer jeans than I do. There are women who talk to fucking much and there are women who just want to be left alone. I love generalizing. Generalizations are a glimpse into truth. It is unfair generalizations you should be careful with.

Unfair generalizations.

I generalize about men and women all the time since, what my observations tell me in regards to the sexes, they have been found to be true more often than not.

That is: in general.

For instance: in general, women are shorter than men. Are there exceptions? Of course. But, when everything is said and done, women are shorter than men. Period.

In general, women are more prone to emotional outbursts than men over meaningless minutae. Are there exceptions? Sure. But when everything is said and done, women are far more prone to emotional outbursts than men over things that are not very important.

Women are also usually moodier, and more indecisive. They keep changing their minds in regards to what they want, wish, or expect all the time. That's the reason in English we have an expression to describe this condition. We call it: "A woman's prerogative." What's " a woman's prerogative?" A woman's prerogative is the "right" to change her mind whenever she gets a hair up he ass without any explanation to those people her changed decision will affect. And she changed her mind...just... because.

Just because she is a female, that is.

In general, women are more scaredy, cowardly than men. Are there exceptions? Sure. Who's is denying that? There are very brave women out there, and some of them are fighting in Iraq and all over the world. Courage takes many forms.

But in times of catastrophe, women are usually the first ones to run for cover, and the last ones to save anyone but their own asses, and perhaps their children. Men, on the other hand, are expected to save everyone before themselves, and we usually do.


And that's because in general, women are weaker than men.

In general, women are more beautiful than men, too.

In general, men are more creative than women when it comes to inventing devices, developing new technology, and in the field of arts, music, and high literature. In other words: guys kick ass!

In general, men are more violent than women. Are there exceptions? Of course. Who cares? That doesn't deny the fact that most of the vilest, more horrific crimes have been commited by men far more often than by women.

In general men are better leaders than women. Or at least, people seem to trust men to lead them far more often than they do with women. That's why there is a seemingly uninterrupted pattern of patriarchies since the dawn of history in every country and in just about every small community, or tribe you care to mention. Most leaders of nations have been men. There is a reason for that.


Naturally ( and I think I have said that many times already, but just in case here it goes again... ) there are exceptions to those general rules. Also, undoubtedly some of you may feel that a few of the generalizations I've made in regards to women ( it's usually the women the ones who complain: there you go! Another generalization!!! ) may be unfair.

Fine. Then correct me and show me wrong.

But we know that most of those generalizations resonate with us to a degree.

And even though we must allow for exceptions to generalizations and rules, every time we come across an exception we always do the same: we just shrug our shoulders and move on, confident in the realization that there are no rules without exceptions and those exceptions will not change what we have already observed and have come to conclude: what is generally true, as opposed to what is not.

The thing is...that this thread is not about the physical differences of women and men. Its about the percieved, unfair generalizations that you are making. I didnt see you once take a jab at women's height as something that bugs you about the opposite sex before the generalizing was called out.

Dash says that all the black people he sees hangs out on the street corner playing dice. You say thats an unfair generalization and you call him a racist.

You say that all the women you see ask if they look fat in what they are wearing. To you, this is not unfair? Is it sexist?
