I just read from Mozilla (firefox) website about the U.S. might be able to blacklist internet sites & keep us from any site they choose.

thanks for heads up. if they choose to do this, just dump your internet and let the fat cats find out no new money comming in. i think they tried this in france and did not do so well.lost tons of revenue.

Doesnt surprise me.. everyone knows we need big brother watching our every move.. telling us what to think.. and sticking their ideals in our faces so we can smell what they consider wrong. Its just one more step in the plan for total control of the population.

Its a good thing my daddy isnt alive to see what the US goverment has become.. he was always one of those flag wavers that felt the goverment was always right..thought that the goverment was for the people and all that rot..if he was alive today to see what the goverments of the world have become..it would kill him.

I seriously doubt such a thing would pass challenges in Federal Courts!

Are you kidding?? The goverment controls every decision the federal courts make. Al Gore basically admitted that back then and I seriously doubt things have changed.

It wont be an out and out censorship..not at first.. they will start taking it away a little at a time. But small nibbles eventually become a bite.

With the grid lock in the government, the politicians are running scared of an Arab Spring here. As I listened to the reason behind the uprising in Egypt, I could check the same things off in the US. One minor difference is that the political pie is divided between two parties, neither of which has the citizen's interests in mind. They are not about to give that game up or the Electoral College would have been abolished long ago.

They quickly realized that it could not be enforced.

I suspect it will be the same in the U.S.

Actually in America nobody's taking aim at the pornographers and there isn't really any movement towards censorship of smut (except child porn). What has people up in arms is money. They are taking down sites like PirateBay where people download mainstream movies and software.

Sites like this have little to fear in the U.S.
