An Asbo and a record are different. At least the British "record".

A police record is what you get when your arrested by the police and they decide to press charges.

An Anti Social Behaviour Order is something like a caution I think.

The police receive lots of complaints about Mr. Peters playing music too loud after 10pm. Mr. Peters is issued an ASBO for playing music too loud. Mr. Peters is allowed to play his music loud until 10pm but after this time, if people complain that he is doing it or the police catch him doing it, then he could face prison for it.

Thats my understanding of the concept anyway. To keep trivial things fast paced and to stop having Judge Judy Style court cases.

What really happens :

Mr. Peters is given an ASBO for playing music late at night. Mr. Peters laughs at how pathetic it is, referencing the 15 year old who got an ASBO for pinching his teachers butt and the 22 year old with an ASBO for having too bright lights on his bike, and keeps playing his music late at night anyway. Police really do not care too much about Mr. Peters Asbo because they are keeping their eye on the 2 year old footballer who keeps kicking balls at people's windows and his ASBO.

Haha...OG is actually completely different than in the context that I use! Its a street term. Not that I'm street, but I there are alot of street stuff that I dont know and alot I do know.
