movie remakes! - Rape Board

Ok, last week I mentioned the remake of "Last house on the left" and now I've found out that "I spit on your grave" is going to be remade, thanks to Rogue! So what I'm wondering is simply this: what other movies would make interesting remakes, especially with some of the newer, younger, or more well known actresses, would be worthy. Also, what other movies that don't have a rape in them, or a weak scene, that could be made much better!

Scarface is a movie that really could have used a rape or two, lol. Though it's a Pacino classic anyways!

Leaving Las Vegas could have been soooo much better!

Ok, those are my examples for now, I want to know yours!

Well, for 1,5 hours we saw Steve Martin rape Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther, a few years back. And guess what... This year Steve raped him again, by making a sequel.

Or is this not what you meant?

not exactly "remakes", per se, but adaptations from comic books.

1 is watchmen, currently in theatres. i wont spoil anything plotwise, but down to brass tacks: its got a rape scene adn the woman is hot (though shes also a garbage actress >.>)

2 is SUPPOSED to be x-men origins: wolverine. there is supposed to be a rape in it if they actually follow the comic, but the way hollywood botches this kind of thing, i dont know if itll be in there.

the watchmen one is pretty graphic though. i guess they were thinking "hey, if we can have floppy blue dick all over the screen for the whole movie, may as well cement that R rating with some rape!"

Perhaps a remake of "The Accused" where she doesn't get away but is gang raped by a few more guys

"Battle Royale," where before they kill some of their classmates, they rape them first--not so hard to believe.

Or any movie where a female spy or solider is captured but is not raped. I mean it's going to happen.

I know there are more but for some reason I'm having trouble thinking of them.

If I had a time machine I'd go back and re-script the early James Bond films (Connery and Moore) so that much more violence, rape and torture of women was shown. A re-make isn't necessary but there is certainly a side to those two actors that could have been used more.

I'd especially like to see Thumper and Bambi being raped and murdered in that swimming pool!

Subsequent Bonds really wouldn't be up to the job although Daniel Craig has gone some way to redeeming the character but in this politically correct age it's unlikely we'll see a return to the borderline mysoginist of old. More likely he'll turn gay and open a wildlife sanctuary than kill Bambi.

V for Vendetta: Maybe V shows up a bit too late and Evey has already been gang raped by the finger men. Preferably with Natalie Portman reprising her role.

Any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies: I mean they're pirates, where's all the looting and killing and raping? I suppose that's what you get from a pirate movies made by Disney.

I'd like to see Christina Ricci get what she deserves

Black Snake Moan was just begging for a rape scene. I'd like to see more films that use demon/supernatural rape, such as Evil Dead or The Entity.

X-men origins will be to mainstream to show anything beyond a little graphic fighting violence. Many rapes are done in either B movies that are not intended to make the A list in Hollywood or they're done by up and coming actors/actresses.

I can't see a full on successful rape scene happening in any superhero movie that comes out of Hollywood, only attempted at best.

I find it hard to believe that there are going to be any rapes in big budget movies anymore, and it there are they aren't going to be explicit. It is too anti PC to get it in there.

One thing I would like to see though, is a remake of High Plains Drifter. The first thing we see the hero of that movie do is drag a woman into a barn and rape her with absolutely no consequences. Something nice about that, and I would like to see it again.

In Apocalypse Now there is a scene during the Airborne Cavalry sequence where a female V.C throws a bomb into a helicopter. Missed opportunity there. Instead of being gunned down from above a bunch of GIs could've jumped her, raped her and tortured her for information. I suppose such a scene would have been too close to the bone at the time the film was made.
