Guys and the toilet seat - Rape Board

How many times have you been told that lowering the seat is something that should be a habit? Honestly guys how many of you actually lower the seat when you're done. Would you lower the seat if you lived alone in an apartment? Then, all of a sudden a female visitor comes into your own space and tells you off for leaving it up. I just want to know if I'm the only one.

I've lived with women for the last 5 years or so, you get bitched at enough it kind of just becomes habit....while i think that women should have the obligation of looking before they sit, i think that putting the seat down isn't a hard thing to do, and as a gesture of respect and to avoid the bitching, it's just better to do it.

I've always done it right before I flush. Because if you've ever sat on a toilet while it flushes, your ass gets a little wet. I don't want icky toilet water going all over the place.

Why do I have to put the seat down? Why can't she just put it down when she needs to go? Or better yet, men can retake the bathroom and demand that when women finish up, THEY put the seat UP for us! Then when they bitch about how they shouldn't have to, feel free to toss in a "It's no different from what you're asking me to do" and presto, you've out-lawyered your woman. My point was simply that women, through all their struggle for equality, insisting that we are all the same and should be treated thusly, continue to insist that men accomadate them because "they're women so be courteous to them" (this is generally what I was taught about this at least). If you're so equal to men, why do we have to put the seat down? Are they not just as capable of putting it down, just as we put it up? Putting the seat down for women is an archaic and sexist social institution with no place in todays modern world. My above post only showed that bey presenting the issue to a woman from the male side of things, you could show them this and hopefully start bucking the habit.

Well, it's quite easy actually.

Option 1) We're at my flat.

My place, my rules - and that's the end of it.

Option 2) We are at his place.

He can leave the toilet seat up if he wants to. It means however, he urinates in a standing position - the idea of such a toilet is revolting.

So, I will not use the facilities anyway and thus not visit anymore. What's more important to him remains his choice - male pride or actual company.

I dont care. I always see the toilet seat up, I just close it, do my thing and move on. Why make a fuss over something so stupid. I have been trying to pick my battles, and toilet etiquiette is not going to be one of them.

However it is disgusting when there are drops of piss on the brim.
