"Rainbow Parties"

Philia is a Greek word created by Aristoteles... usually translated as "friendship".

Usually most medical and psychological terms have their origin in Greek or Latin (since those used to be the languages of the "civilised", "cultured" or "educated"). In this case Greek - Philia means "fondness for something". The opposite correspondent is Phobia ("fear of something").
Since all those fetishes describe a certain sexual preference most of them are a "-philia".

The word is much older than Aristoteles.Even Homer have used it.
Aristoteles was him who gave an exact explanation of the word and classified the reasons someone is friendly with others.
