Quo vadis RB?
I´m a member since one year. (the first time with another name) I see a lot of members come and go. I´ll think its the normally way of a internet forum.
But since the big crash i´m worried about rapeboard. I´m very busy but everyday i find some minutes to hide in the fantasy world of RB. Its good to read the opinions or chat with people with the same though. In the days where RB was not online i remember again that nothing lasts forever. And then this: All movies from SayNo are deleted, after the crash he made a very good job with his thread and now... shit. It must be disappointed. Louise go for a while (please come back). Today i read "my last poem" from Grm... he leaves us. When you go to the general forum you see spam, spam, spam Please moderators, tell me you have enough motivation to keep RB alive. P.S. ok i´m in a shit mood. Perhaps i see everything too black. |

Maybe its just the usual change over it does seem when a forum has a serious crash many people often leave it.
So few of the really cool ones are left now Huni Hunt GRM BEdasteardly Louise have all gone by the looks of it how long will the others like Wiz Innocent Chi town honey gaggirl and somedude and the few others from the old days hang on now that their old friends have left. Only time will tell I guess just as only time will tell if this forum is in its final days or going through a rebirth. |

yeah you know I have been wondering the same thing hey.. I used to be almost obsessed with this place, but now I can actually take my time, and log back in, only to find no new posts!!
I havent been here all that long, but it was just absolutely humming but not now and yes the samming.. how the hell did they all suddenly decide to bombard us To think my husband was becoming jealous of the rape board no fear Joanne, Im not going anywhere! Im a bit busier with new developments happening in my real life, but this kind of place is very important to keep alive...maybe some of those lurkers out there will pull a finger out and join in??? what have you got to say for yourselves!! |

Winds of change i guess, i am guessing this board will always have periods where it has up's and down's, same thing happened around June/July if i remember where there were so few posts then there was a huge increase in movies.
Luke and Joanna we all know that when you have people like Louise, Huni etc join they post lots as this place is new to them but they burn themselves out and ran out of things to talk about so they become less active and a few drop off, look at Emily Johnson, eos69671, Feisty for example they joined late this year got close to 100 posts and then dropped off and have not logged on. kinkyone for example one of the original mods with GRM and Somedude, has not been back for a long time. Thought I will be around for a while yet...like you said Joanna its the "change over period" |

To think my husband was becoming jealous of the rape board [QUOTE] Maybe it was flirting with the men that share the same interest as your hubby that was getting him jealous . |

I think many people joined (mainly) because of the movies and not to become active members of the board. Taking a look at the number of members and comparing it to the people posting regularly that's my first conclusion...
Nect thing is - I guess - even RapeBoard is repeating itself after you've been around some time. Role play, stories, movies, take whatever you want ... basically it's always the same. There are a few exceptions of course, but in essence there are not that many "new" things to see after a while. So if you're not interested in posting, talking - socialising that is - there's no reason to stick around for too long. And even if you are people get weary of it after some time I guess. Maybe they don't have that much time any more, lost interest, found a better place to go, whatever ... there are as many reasons to leave as there are to stay. Even nobody might care: I don't intend to leave any time soon and although I miss Grm already I think there are some other interesting people around. I just hope they stay! So time will tell!

Hey guys, nothing unusal goes on.All boards have up and down, members come and go.
What is different in RB is the number of guests. Its very common to see 60 guests and 4 members.Perhaps some hidden sections (from guests) could help. On the other hand, what makes me suspicious, is that this happens after a crash that happend in strange circumstances.Time will show.... |

We already have 2328 members on this board ... It would only make more people register (eventually) but a garantueed increase in active members? I doubt it. Quote:

He is refering to the movie section and restricting it to members that participate on a regular basis, much like they do on vicious board, you cannot access there main movies forum untill you have at least 20 on topic posts and you have to apply for access to the section. New members have there own section to post movies, when they become members of the main section there movies are moved to the main members movie section and they only post in that from there on in Its a good way to keep lurkers out and people that want to report links, also its a good way to have new members participate as well. It has been suggested by me before but it was decided it was too much work to set up |

Just like clan said. The 20 posts limit is a danger, because then u see everywhere posts like "woww", "nice", "thanks" and shit like this. The best way is to make someone active member (with full access) when mods think so. I know, its a lot of work to do.... Quote:

clan_hunter nah I think it was more the amount of time I spent reading up and replying on stuff and alll the downloading I was up to, he felt a bit.. neglected! However, Ill concede the flirting didnt help matters -not a problem NOW of course anyways... I havent been long around a to see ebb and flow of things, but it does make perfect sense when all of life is like this. Additionllay, it makes perfect sense that people dont want to repeat themselves ad infinitum (one of the reasons I dont have that much to say atm ) and content being more of the sames- a very true observation.... oh well! Ill be sitting here watching |

there have been people leaving thats true but i think the record need setting straight here.
huni has no internet access. louise has other commitments on at the moment but both myself and somedude are convinced she'll be back when she's able. not left just a kinda timeout for other things. i however have no intention of going anywhere and i'm pretty sure the same goes for somedude grm yes he has left. due to personal reasons and the board moving in deirections he wasnt comfortable with. ie age censorship laws which we chose to abide by. so the 'fbi' have no reason to shut us down. good god we abide by the law so why would they shut us down? anyone who doesnt abide by regs gets put straight and i think all the mods here do a pretty good job of policing the policies. i think its a little excessive to be worrying about board shut down cos 2 memebrs have to take time off and one mod leaves. i would be lost without this board and dont intend for it to go anywhere if i have the slightest say in it. in the extremely unlikely event that the board does disappear....i know who you all are...how to reach you. i'm sure between myself, the other mods and regular posters we can set up and run a new board if need be. tho i cant see that happening. admin who is the almighty one on here has given no indication whatever of shutting up shop. if he was gonna do that why would he do all the extra work he's just gone thru, not just with the board wipe but with the changes and advances made ie new avatar sizes etc. those of you who are paranoid about the board wipe....oh do give your head a shake! was a server issue and unfortunately the reason we lost so much data was human error! it wasnt backed up! shit happens so stop borrowing trouble. so thats my 2penneth. hope it puts some minds at rest and maybe just maybe it will shut up the shit stirrers who have nothing better to do than cause unneccesary worry to other members. lifes got enough worries and we mostlyall come here as an ascape from that crap. thats why its a fantasy board. so you moaners and whiners..please dont try and ruin it for everyone cos i for one wont allow that! |
