Well, what do you expect from something written by a man?

Men have always found (and always will find) a "reasonable" excuse for rape. So naturally there are many stories of women being kidnapped, raped, forced into marriage, etc. who enjoyed it later on.

I remember seeing the 'Rape of the Sabine' in the V and A when I was an impressionable young man and finding it very arousing, its amazing how the sculptor has captured the serpentine writhings of the woman portrayed.
