I heard that women can get what Plastic surgeons and Gynecologolists are calling, Hymenoplasty. From what I've read that they refer to it as hymen reconstructive surgery.

Yes, medically "replacing the cherry" (reconstructing the hymen) is actually possible.
But - as has been mentioned before - the hymen can break without any penetration so a girl/woman losing her virginity is (in my opinion) not about the hymen breaking it's about having her first sexual experience and that's something that can't be replaced.

Brings a question to my mind. If a girl loses her virginity through her first sexal experiance and not necessarily through losing her hymen. it almost seems like your saying the loss of virginity more a mental state right?

What about a girl who was unconscious and never knew it happened in the first place ( is that even possible?)

Well ... first off ... it is definitely possible a person (going neutral here since I consider "losing the virginity" pretty much the same for men and women) loses their virginity without knowing it. A - fortunately - rare example:
A girl is raped under the influence of a drug or while being unconscious. She wouldn't know about this sexual experience. Still, physically, she wouldn't be a virgin anymore.
So yes ... I would say if she doesn't know about it (maybe through a case of amnesia, too) ... having the first sexual experience afterwards (assuming the person in question doesn't know about all sexual experiences anymore) it might be somewhat like being deflowered again.
Another one (addressing a different possibility):
A girl is raped. First sexual experience. Still her first consensual sex would be something different to her. Would she still be a virgin? Technically (meaning physically ) no. In her mind? No.
Highly theoretical cases altogether - some of which I don't have a definitive answer to - but to me "losing virginity" is more like "giving virginity" ... a person's first conscious sexual act.
What is certain however is this: The first sexual experience (deliberate or not) may change us in a very profound way and might influence our future sex life and state of mind concerning sex quite deeply. This is what I would call "losing virginity" as well.

This subject however is so individual and personal I wouldn't want to "define" it in universal terms for everyone anyway.

Very interesting. I had always thought of virgnity as a sort of innoence (you are correct of course. in male and female)

I don't know if it is the actual act that can take that away or if it is something else. For instance the girl who is raped while drugged and has no idea that it happend at all, might still be a "virgin" when she awakes but if she discovers what has happened, and is forced to come to grips with the horrible things that have been done to her. Her virginity,her innocence might be taken from her then instead of the actual moment her body was penetrated.
