I just finished playing a game my friend got me awhile back called 'Rule of Rose'. Linkage to Japanese trailer with some of the weirdness.

Basically it's about a girl who's in an orphanage, but the orphanage is on an airplane, and it's run by a secret society of little girls who demand presents or else they'll kill you, and... OH SHIT MY BRAIN HURTS!

Yeah, I still have no idea what the fuck I just played.

ah jeez, ive played that before...didnt get too far into it before my head hurt and i ran off to watch FLCL, since by contrast that show is completely sane >.>

Im going to have to see if it is available for the xbox 360.

We could post the ones we are playing now and info on them.

Ooooh! That is a good idea. I do love me some vidya games.

And no, I think it's just for PS2, but I could be wrong. All I'll say is that it makes the Silent Hill games look straightforward.

SH3 was ok, and SH4 wasn't bad--those goddamned indestructible ghosts killed the atmosphere though. SH5 I haven't finished, it's pretty bleh so far though. And I'm totally psyched for Shattered Memories even though I know it's going to be disappointing.

*shrug* survival horror is really fail now. resident evil 5 is just 4 but they replaced mexicans with africans, and left 4 dead is fun, but the fact that theres only 4 levels makes it very stale very fast...looking forward to L4D2 though!

Yeah, Resident Evil never really did it for me. It was disturbing at its best, sure, but I was never scared. Never played L4D, but it's on my list!
