did he really get banned for that? i mean i guess it was a mention of something against the rules but it was so over-the-top it's obvious he wasn't condoning it...

why come to a thread named sick jokes if you don't really like them? people are always looking for something to be offended by. why is ok to tell racist/sexist/other disgusting jokes but not dead baby jokes? i mean i don't find them funny at all but who made me arbiter of what other people can find funny...

the jokes I posted weren't nearly as bad as some of the others ( at least as far as I was concerned) I read through this thread ( when it was still about bad jokes) and found most of the other jokes not funny at all. yes yes I get it.. you are making' a disgusting refference.. good for you.. doesn't mean its funny.

the thing is the jokes in this thread are MEANT to be in poor taste i am not defending those jokes that were more offensive than others, but its liek a train wreck or a car accident.. the thread title says the jokes are very offensive...

If you are passing by a car wreck and you look and see someone who got their head cut off in the wreck.. and it traumaties you for life... then it really is your fault for looking, You know there is a possibility to see something you can never unsee.. and you look anyway.

In hindsight perhaps this topic never should have been made. With so many people who are so fiercly emotional who frequent this board this sort of unfortunate incident was bound to happen.

It appears that NiceIdeas got banned directly from this "joke". Like Chitown, I don't find it a funny to joke about. But there is a difference, the racist jokes would not be something I would publicly throw out in real life and they are stereotypical and inaccurate, but I still chuckle about it because I can think of the SMALL but PROMINENT number of examples which link to the joke. Likewise, I don't see the baby joke to be THAT offensive.

Unless..ChiTown had a personal experience with a baby in that kind of a setting. That would truly be my next best guess...

Allright look. was the joke in bad taste? yes... Should he have posted it? In hindsight probably not but hindsight is after all 20/20.

We have already lost a prominant member of this board because of this post and the boards reaction, If the original poster continues his self imposed ban because of it then we have lost two.

I really hope we can move past this, let it go, forget about it.. whatever.. before we lose more...

I don't know why there's complaining in a thread where they already have clear notification that this thread would be dedicated to jokes perhaps in bad taste.
