Sobering day for me - Rape Board

Yesterday we all heard about the terrible shootings by that Muslim nutter at the Army base in Texas. The day before that, I was paying an official visit to Risdon maximum security and standard prison facilities in Hobart.

As a Justice of the Peace for the State of Tasmania it is part of my duties to become aquainted with the Judicial and Prison systems in this State. Seven of us were invited to visit the prison and be shown around the facilities.
While inspecting the maximum security section I happened to look into a cell and caught the eye of the occupant. He smiled at me but I failed to recognise him until I saw his name above the door. Martin Bryant.

The killer of thirtyfive people at Port Arthur including two little girls.

I left Hobart that day hoping that a senseless act like that would never be repeated. Some hope.
I still feel sullied that the bastard smiled at me. My condolences to the families at Fort Hood.

We know what you are going through.

You know what really pisses me - the fact that the mutherfuckers in charge who cause all this to happen dont really give a shit in fact they all think staright away how to monopolise on it! obama must be thinking hell anythimg to get the news offa me and the cons must be like "see we told ya so - we must fight these wars"

hope you had fun at the pink palace . i worked with people who knew martin and they all said he had this chilling way of doing things and he should have been killed for what he did. i will never forget that morning turning on the tv and seeing that shit i was only 18 . may we never forget the victims R.I.P
