Consequences for participating on RB, worse for the men or the women of the board? - Rape Board

this thought occured to me early today at work for some reason.

Do you think it would be worse for a man or a woman to have their family/friends/co-workers find out they were members of the site? Is it all the same?

Personally, i think it's worse for guys, i think my friends and family would get over it, but my female friends who i don't know that well would never look at me the same, and some guys would look down upon me as a 'rapist'.
While i think for a female, it would definetly be embarassing, but i feel like noone would really look at them as a pervert, in fact, some of the guys in their lives might be turned on.

What do y'all think?

I agree. A man would be considered seriously screwed and dangerous and dysfunctional but a woman will appear like a freaky wild thing. unless of course its my inlaws... and then they would hate me for tainting their pure brother/son.
Actually when I was in highschool some boys overheard me sayng it and it spread like WILDFIRE i was so embarassed!!!!!!!!!! none of th egirls knew though, just the boys.

Men for sure, that's why I got so paranoid and took my picture down. They would be ostrasised from their friends most likely, and especially the female ones if they didn't share a similar fantasy; hell maybe even if they did, it's such a taboo subject.

Snale has a point, I think it depends on the context and how you tell them.

I agree that it's men who would take the worst of it. Most people would think that this is a board about real rape and think that the men on here are real rapists.

the women would probably be excused because most women know that we all privately want to be ravished

My friends don't know, maybe they would be surprised, but definitely not disgusted. Not sure about parents or my brother (as he is a Christian). But I also don't expect any problems here - as they know I would not hurt anyone.

I have posted a few pictures of myself on here since I have been a member and I think even my name (first name at least) is pretty common knowledge with the regulars. That much I don't have aproblem with. The internet is a big place and I'm just one person on it. You might say that this site has a few hundred members but theres millions online in the world and billions in the world besides that. So the chances of me getting spotted are very very slim I would say.......having said that, does anyone here live in London?

ha, i thought about that fibonacci, when i was fantasizing about how weird it would be if i were ever to be president (i'm a dreamer) , i'd probably end up having to trade nuclear secrets to keep my participation on a rape board under wraps.

PF, you should be careful. People posting provocative pics have been seen by people they knew. I know this has happened in mostly high schools and colleges, but once your name and pic is out there, you can't take it back. Should someone identify you in real life, you could be in danger. Be careful.

I really don't worry about the consequences if anyone I know found out. Jobwise it's unlikely to effect me, and no problem with family, I'm the black sheep anyway, prison, drugs, etc etc etc, so if they knew I was kinky it wouldn't surprise them in the least!

I could understand how some people may be worried though for family or career purposes. Society is not a very tolerant place!
