I know you cant police the world and its even harder to police the internet, but sometimes I cant help but cry at the cruelty of others.

I am soooo sick of seeing pictures of obviously mentally disabled people with fucked up captions pointing fun at them. It makes me terribly sad that some people think its funny to laugh at people who didnt get the same chance at life that they did and obviously didnt deserve. As someone who has worked with children with multiple mental and social disabilities, this pisses me the fuck off. Who the fuck do these people think they are? Its one thing to point and laugh on the street...but its another to post pictures of these individuals on the internet with the purpose of social ridicule accessible by the entire world. And the sad thing is, its completely acceptable. THIS PISSES ME THE FUCK OFF. The people who are so quick to ridicule people with mental retardation should have a child with down's syndrome and see how the fuck they will like it when people ridicule their child. I am sad for all all people who were not born with the same chances as normal people and just want to punch anyone in the face who feel its their duty to RIDICULE them for something thats NOT THEIR FAULT!!!!!!! Nothing upsets me more than this.

And these assholes think mental retardation is FUNNY, so funny in fact that they post pictures of them so that the WORLD can see them and the ridicule that the stupid fucks decided to put on these individuals who have no idea.


I have seen many people stare, point, and make comments about people with mental retardation, but to do it on the internet is so low. Its like standing over them with a big billboard making fun of their retardation, only way worse.

Thanks everyone for your support on this. I dont know why I take it so seriously. I can tell you that it is so hard to work with and spend time with mentally handicapped individuals because you just want to do all your best to enrich their lives in some way. I know I cant make everything fine, but I can try.
