Dear Gods above. If someone came to me with a real life rape story I'd feel sympathy, not probe for jerk off material, and probably suggest a treatment I heard about that can remove the emotional damage from the experience and maybe suggest in some cases she aviod certain feminist activists as they may try to exploit her in thier war on porn, but only if I think that's a likely risk of that.

Neither as I ain't that much of a bastard, if we are that close she is sharing such a traumatic experience, then I am not going to abuse that trust just for my own selfish sexual gratification.

Being a multiple "real rape" survivor, I have actually wondered this myself. If people were ever turned on by my real life stories. Is it sick that I don't even really mind it? For me though, personally, I just cant get going from a REAL story. Once I know its real, its too much. I like reallllly pushing that line though, to where I have to question if the video/story is real

When it's a real person, someone I know and can identify with, I can't derive any sort of arousal from her experience. I started having these fantasies when I was around 11 or 12. I felt sympathy, sadness, tenderness for her. For the bastard who did it, I felt rage, hatred, and almost murderous fury. Fortunately, I never acted on it! For years afterwards, I did everything I could to block these fantasies. I felt pretty strong guilt for even having them. Eventually though, I was able to divorce her real experience from those of my fantasies and began to explore them again. I still feel a twinge of guilt occasionally, but for the most part I'm past that.

Anyway, when I hear about an actual rape, if it hits close to home, or it involves someone I can identify with in some way, I can't get off on it. But if it remains abstract and impersonal, then I can pretty easily take elements of the story and weave them into my fantasies, or sometimes even base entirely new fantasies around the report.

So, if a friend/coworker/etc. started relating details of her rape to me, I wouldn't be aroused at all. At least not at the time. I'd offer sympathy and support to her. But I can't guarantee that some element of her story wouldn't find its way into one of my fantasies at some later point, but applied to a fictional victim, not the real one.
