Default Ron Paul 2012?

So who thinks Ron Paul will become our next president?

I'm wary to believe he'll bring the troops home like he talks about. I'm also worried about the economical times ahead if he becomes president. Don't take me wrong way. I'll be happy to go through a depression if it means getting our country back on track. Not like it'll affect my VA payments anyways.

My issue with him bring the troops home is how that is going to affect us true soldiers. I'd be pissed to walk away from something that I shed blood over.

I know most of the people in the military just want that paycheck. So I guess whatever. There were over 60% "part timers" in my company during basic and they all said the same thing. "I'm here to get my college paid for." How fucked up is that? I hope Ron Paul makes it so college isn't paid for unless you served a 3 year full time or are joining full time as an officer.

At city hall myself and many other raised the issue of what kind of filth they let in the military these day. We talked about how there is roughly 1.5% of the United states population serving in the military. (Including reserves) 2.57% of the military is a victim of rape while only .0107% of the United states population is rape victim. Pretty shocking? To me it is.After I got out and started hearing about I decided to run some numbers. So we raised the question, "tell us why there is roughly 200x the amount of rape in the military compared to our country's population." "How is it the men and women that is suppose to protect us and each other are being attacked by fellow soldiers and why hasn't it been dealt with."

If Ron Paul becomes president in 2012 I'm pretty sure I'm immigrating before he takes office in 2013! Thankfully his chances of being elected are relatively slim.
I actually agree with him on bringing the troops home because the past decade of foreign conflicts has bankrupted our country in more ways than one. "Happy to go through a depression if it means getting our country back on track" Are you mad? A depression? To get our country back on track? Back on track to what? Rampant nepotism, cronism, government coruption, abhorent abuses of human rights, free rein capitalism that nearly ruined the world economy and on down the list. Seriously I'm no big fan of Obama but he's certainly better than the 8 years before him and unless we can get Bill Clinton in as a third party candidate he's better than the batch of lunatics and idiots and right wing extremists the Republicans are putting forward.
As for brining the troops home...PLEASE SOMEONE BRING THEM HOME! Afghanistan is a lost cause do to the incompetent handling of the US mission there by the Bush Administration in favor of their misguided and frankly mad foreign adventurism in Iraq and thankfully we're pulling slowly out of that quagmire and need to remove our soldiers from the bog that is Afghanistan as well. Blood and treasure has been spent enough in foreign lands and our nation needs a long period of peace to spend time and money and energy upon rebuilding our infrastructure and everything else we've completely neglected since 2001 and even before that.
The rest of your rant about "true soldiers" versus "part timers" all I have to say about that is that those "part timers" and the "weekend warriors" and those seeking to have their college paid for by the GI Bill did as much bleeding and dying and hurting as the "true soldiers"! All of our men and women in the military deserve or respect and our support and deserve to be brought home to their families and loved ones to defend our own shores as they are meant to. Enough foreign wars and enough fire and blood!

I'm def voting for Ron Paul. Aside from that the "99%" are making a very good point in regards to its time to get up and do something. We need a revolution.

If elected he might do away with all these sexual harassment laws.
