Why do we get more females posting their photos than males in the member pic section?

Aside from the basic: attention seeking, ego boosting, stamp of approval chasing(yes, I am rape-worthy), what are some other reasons we risk getting spotted by friends and families and post up our pictures? And why it seems we have more girls taking the risk than guys?

Well, it has been summed up rather accurately already.

a) Many women (let's say people ) posting one or two pictures (and that's it) simply got them someplace else and only pretend to be that person.

b) Assuming the person posting the picture(s) actually is the person in those pictures - most women are simply more vain than men and enjoy (want) male attention given to them much more. That also makes them more stupid than men so they show their pictures on a rape fantasy board.

c) Still assuming b) - many women I've seen actually are more or less attractive. On the other hand ... most pictures men have publically shown ... well, let's just say most women are too polite to tell those men how unattractive they really are. In direct comparison: I'd say the the majority of men on RB would simply loose an "attractiveness contest" to the female members.

Even there are numerous unattractive female members - women do take rejection way harder than men by the way - the chance of being surrounded by men praising their appearance anyway is too alluring after all.

thanks for all the replies, all of them are quite accurate. I did feel pretty stupid posting my pictures up, it could probably get me fired from work, but I just couldn't help it. It's just something about being amongst people with the same urges and desires that makes me forget my common sense. All these years of suppressing it and pretending I am normal; not having been able to share how I feel and who I am deep down with my "normal" friends, I really feel like I want to tell it and show it all after I found this site.

The truth is I started the thread because I really wish more people had posted their pictures, I don't get turned on by porn that much (many are just way too fake for me) seeing the pictures and knowing (hopefully) there is a real person behind the writing really makes it a lot more personal when I fantasize about him or her.

I agree with Newland that some (not the majority) of the "women" on these sites are actually men playing out a fantasy. Its quite easy to spot some of them just by the way they write, and the photos tend to make it even more obvious.

As for me personally, I think a female posting a photo on a forum called "rape board" is a bad idea. Fantasy or not.

that maybe true, but I believe the sin of vanity is in all of us. The ones who are not posting are most likely to be fat and fugly....especially the girls.

Some of the women posting on here really are who they say they are. Others plainly are not. That's true all over the net, but it seems to be a real hot button topic here.

At the risk of overthinking, I think in our species women are valued more for their looks than men.

Men are also more brutal about the looks thing. There is one member here who is a bit overweight and posted her pics. She's a lovely girl, but she was, sadly, savaged by some here. We can't all look like porn stars and that was shameful.

Women tend to be more gentle. A guy who has the requisite number of features and isn't grotesque will get kudos for posting at the very least. The worst he would get would be silence.

Sternie's own post match my thoughts, there's only a small amount of 'women' here I know for a fact to be women. No disrespect to others I don't know about.

I am a pc gamer, we don't have this kind of problem simply because most games I play have voice chat built into the game, or if not, we use software such as Ventrilo or Teamspeak to communicate freely with fellow gamers......unless you can make yourself sound like a girl, it's pretty hard to fool people. I know when I applied for my guild back when I played Warhamme, I had to interview on line via Ventrilo for verification.....wish we could do it here.....too bad we have too many members, it'd be cool to have Vent. set up and people can go to different "rooms" to voice chat on line.

What a simplified and callous statement to make about folks that you don't know. You joined today and the first things you do are ogle the postings in the picture thread then denigrate the women on the forum {and to a lesser extent the men} about the looks based on their willingness to post their picture? Methinks you have a great deal to learn about life and the real world!


And for anyone curious about my picture, {since the hot dog vendor in my neighborhood isn't very photogenic either} I don't post it to save you all the horror of seeing the ugly mug which actually resides behind this computer screen.

Hmmmm. Interesting. I post as a woman. Several people on here have seen me, even more have talked to me on voice, and I have met one member here in person. I have not had anyone call me fugly, even though I have never, and will never, post my picture on a board that can be accessed by a simple Google search.

I concur Sierra. No matter who they are or how they look, every woman in the world has at least one feature or way about them that is beautiful. One may have lovely eyes, one may have beautiful hair, another may have grace and tranquility and another may have a great sexual aura.
When you are young, looks and form are all but ,as you get older, intelligence,charm,compassion and many other attributes come into play and consideration.
Give me a plain,caring woman every day over the likes of Paris Hilton. Just thank goodness for women, what a desolate barren and lonely world it would be without them.

OMG, that makes me look like shit. I can assure you I am not peeps.....my cousin was on my computer yesterday when he was here, I can only assume he saw the site and decided to have a little "fun". I am not that stupid as I know how easily IP address can be traced. I would confront him except I don't want him to tell people that I an on the board......great...now I feel pissed and sad.
