Author - Clive Barker
Book - Weaveworld I know it's 21 years old, and perhaps is a bit dated as far as Barkers development as an author since that time. However I just love it! Lem

Gut Symmetries - Jeanette Winterson.
It's got loads of cool stuff: Love triangle, Lesbians, Cannabalism, Super-string theory, Quantum mechanics, Diamonds imbedded in peoples spine. It's a cool read and a great example of post-modernist double coding. |

World War Z Max Brooks wrote a how to Book about Surviving a world with Zombies. (a fun F**king read) Then he wrote WWZ.A serious take on a world wide Zombie plague. It's an intense read and cool to see a very realistic story about zombies. They are about to turn it into a movie with Mark Forster(Quantum of Solace)Directing. Here's the Wikipedia page for it.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_Z |

Would it be to cliche to say the Diceman by Luke Reinheart?
Fuck it anyways, The Diceman by Luke Reinheart. Cool book, Dark-one if you dig Fightclub then there's a big chance you'll like this. It's different but has that same theme of being dis-satisfied with your life and society and making the change into your own man. About a guy who decides to live his life according to actions he allocates to the numbers he rolls on his dice. Interesting concept and if I had any balls what so ever I might try it myself for a day to see what it's like. I don't though so won't It has some rape in it, but also some homosexuality, depends how homophobic you are. Personally not very. Very cool read, I never read the follow up novel though, anyone know if that's any good? Last edited by Conrad; 11-21-2008 at 09:18 PM. |

I just finished reading "The Watchmen" by Alan Moore..
1st let me say I am not a comic book reader at all..I've probably only read a handful of comics in my life..I do enjoy watching the movies and TV shows and what not though...so I saw the Trailer for this movie and I've heard nothing but good things about the graphic novel so I decided to pick it up and boy was it good..It's a mystery it's got action, theres a love story kinda..and even a attempted rape scene..I suggest everyone read it..and then Watch the movie when it comes out next year. |
