I'd love to see him do that.

Mind you, he trips over his shoe lace and acts like that anyway. Most of them do nowadays. That's why I like Rooney, he like an old fashioned player, non-nonsense, if he goes down, then there's a reason for it.

I remember the good old days of snooker and darts, when the players were more pissed then the spectators. Ah happy days.

Its just a scab I like to pick every now and then for my over the ponder friends usually gets some good replies and such

At my highschool they started a soccer program. I was to skinny to play much of anything else so I joined in, got me out of some classes so what the hell.

Two weeks later the program was scrapped. One broken ankle (I was on the giving end) a broken nose, several sprains, and a couple dozen stiches spread out amond only a few dozen players.

The point is to a yank when someone says football its football not soccer not rugby not lacross not polo.

(Did I get all the strange games all of you play over there ?)

Its by god football and if its by god football its NFL

I've never seen rugby being played. I've seen a couple of bumper stickers that said, "It takes leather balls to play Rugby". That sums up my knowledge of the sport.

I have played American football and soccer. Soccer requires more stamina and football requires more toughness. Most soccer players would be seriously injured in even a college level football game. Most football players would be dead on their feet with European soccer players running around them in circles shortly after the start of the game.

However, if are talking about a rough sport. My admittedly uniformed vote goes to hockey. Pound per pound, I believe these guys are the toughest individuals in organized sports.

I have nothing in common with a 390 pound NFL behemoth that can bench press more than his weight. Hockey players (in most part) are rather normal looking people with an uncanny ability to endure pain and suffering.

HRH just what the puck are you saying ????

LOL good point

perhaps we can talk to the international sports authorities and demand a hybrid like "Iceugby"

they would still need knee protection though Ice burns are way worse than rug burns
