Believe what about you? That you really are on a concerted campaign to drive all people from RD off? No, I don't believe that.

Like I said, I agree that the few who came on here and waded in with both feet put my back up too - and I was not silent about it. Those people moved on quickly and they are no doubt busily pissing off the members and staff of some other board, and I spend not one minute crying at their departure. The ones who stayed were the usual mix of people I like and people I don't - which is how it should be.

What I'm saying is that there always has been whinging about RB, and there always will be. Below a certain level it's just white noise and can be ignored. We reached that level when "a certain member" left. Aside from the thread in introductions I haven't seen much about RD. Just the usual moaning about this and that. No need for rocket launchers and heavy artillery.

I do take exception to your "ungrateful" comment. There is no call for gratitude on either side. I don't feel the need to kiss the feet of any new member or group of members and I won't put up with much from people who come on and start trashing the place before they have 50 posts. However, all boards - including this one - need all their members, old and new to keep the activity going.

As for the comment about a paranoid fantasy, I call bullshit. I have plenty of fantasies, none of them paranoid.

Thank you Sierra, I am sure it brought you no pleasure in stating that you too see what many of my friends and I see. I know you and FR go way back and I like the old grump myself, although I’m sure he now doubts that.

Call me a hopeless optimist, but I still think many RDers are still lurking, and seeing a highly respected RB member like you showing them some understanding I think will help them see RB in a new light. Some of the thicker skinned member like GC, Bic, ND & Jas are sticking it out and I thank them all for standing ground.

I did not disagree with FR & you for sticking up for RB when the refugees arrived, and seen that some seemed less than grateful, I too voiced that in the refugee thread to Sasha.
RB is my choice of homes and I will be sticking around. I will post occasionally at the other site to stay in contact with some old friends, but it does not allow members the freedom that RB affords.

Sierra, complaints about Rapeboard will never go away. Complaining because its not like the place you would rather be is pointless.

I actually joined RD before I found Rapeboard. When I decided I preferred Rapeboard did I voice this opinion elsewhere? No. I just quietly went on my way. I feel inclined that if RD ever comes back I'm going to go and berate the owners for sending this shower of shit my way. How dare they let the site go down? How fucking inconsiderate of them! Don't they have any care for the feelings of other sites that have fuck all to do with them?

Of course, I'd be joking. All the same, as I watch the decriers try to justify themselves, why shouldn't I behave just as they do?

Maybe I should seek out this other place that those that are too self absorbed and thin skinned for this place have gone to and give them merry hell? If its my fault they don't like it here then fuck them, let them not like anywhere else.

I think Sierra spoke the truth as she wisely sees it, not stirring the pot at all. I think only you in your bias opinion of her see it as such. I doubt anyone even FR will accuse her of stirring the pot.

I think Sierra’s outlook on the situation changed as things progressed, she I understand, you I do not. Looks like you and I see things more differently than I thought. You say you want to spread hated at the other site, and this post tells me you are looking to try and drive a wedge between two old friends here. I think you are playing a game that you’re ill equipped at winning.

Quit brown-nosing. She may feign some appreciation for a little while to make herself appear approachable, but as long as I've been around (and I grant it isn't nearly as long as the rest in this thread) I've never read anything but CRAZY from that woman. It strikes me as odd that as soon as RD members start joining RB she MAGICALLY resurfaces from thin air. And even you have to acknowledge how vocal she was regarding her disdain for them and their attempts to make a new home here. Now they're gone, a few stragglers are STILL bitching (to the point of it even bothering ME), and FR steps up and says something and now HE is a bad guy? She wants to pick fights with him?

Brown nosing seems to be what you are hoping to accomplish with FR. I think she came back because she seen a little life in a site that was pretty much dead as far as member interaction goes. As she said herself… “It was nice to have some activity around the place.”… She was, and admittedly so, outspoken to a “Few” RD members who constantly said how RD was so much better and wanted RB to become a clone of it.

I see Sierra as trying to help mend fences and build a bridge so new Rd members feel comfortable here, what I see from you is this ↓↓↓↓

I know I'm new here, but I can see both sides of the situation.

Let's be honest, folks. If anyone came onto RD and started complaining, we would've been all over them like a pack of wolves on a weak elk. I can understand why FR would get riled up. Granted, his approach was very aggressive, but that's just who he is. I can see how that would raise the hackles of some members, though. Was he going after any RDers that were not complaining? Not that I saw. He never came after me or some others that haven't said anything negative about RB. In fact, I never saw him do anything but defend his viewpoint of RB.

In regards to the hateful comment about Sierra-I have never seen her be hateful to anyone from RD, including myself, nor have I seen the "crazy" that's been referred to.

I can understand the mindset of RDers when they come here as well. It takes some time to adjust to new situations. I was a chatroom whore at RD myself. Do I feel they had a right to complain? Depends on how it's done. Making a respectful suggestion I completely agree with. If it's shot down by the mods, then it doesn't happen. No problem. Deal and move on. Do I agree with complaining without making a suggestion or bitching just to vent? No, I don't.

Again, this is just my opinion. No judgement on anyone. We all have the right to our own opinions as far as I'm concerned anyways.

I do think it is high time Rders let it go. I see no signs of it coming back and it is time to move on. To continue weeping for RD will not bring it back and to keep bringing it up on RB serves no purpose other than to draw negative attention to you.
