Or trying to figure out any routine the kidnappers might have, like, "hmm...the taller one seems to come in with a whip at approximately every 20th count of a thousand, until several hours have passed, then i don't see him again for a while. That must be when he sleeps."

Anyway...it does sound like a fun game.
