From what I've read, a vote on reunification is part of the Good Friday agreement. It's probably about time for it, about 20 years after the deal.
A condition for a vote is that the Northern Ireland Home Secretary has to see a perceived need or demand for a vote on reunification, and if the vote is a no (Ulster says NO! as usual
) then in a few years he looks at the situation again to decide if another vote is needed.
