France. Where even the trees are dirty!
In recent years there have been reports of smelly clouds crossing the English Channel from France and disturbing the leafy peace and quiet of Kent and Sussex.
Now it seems, in a threat greater than that formerly posed by North Korean nuclearisation, the Frog Smog has crossed the Atlantic in the form of potentially diseased trees.
During the state visit to the USA by French leader Emmanuel Macron, he and Donald Trump planted an oak from a French forest where many US Marines died during WWI. Today the Reuters news agency has published a photo showing a yello patch of grass where the tree stood only days before.
Apparently the tree has been placed in quarantine where it will be monitored for disease.
