Thanks Mac.

My mother just texted me and said her power was out. My friend who lives in the same area said his power went out, then came back on. For myself I've had no problems all day and even went out in out the afternoon and took a walk.

The major problem I do have is that the MTA can not operate when winds are 35mph or above (might be 38). The transit system here in NYC has been shut down since last night at 7pm. Sucks for me because I live in the Bronx and work in Queens so I can't get to work.

I was just looking at the local weather and it seems the winds will be over 35mph until late tomorrow. This means they won't start getting the trains running until late Tuesday night and the Wednesday commute will be a nightmare. Getting the trains running again is going to be a very long and arduous task. The MTA said they will thoroughly check the system before they get it up and running again.

I do understand the safety reasons for customers and employees when it comes to them shutting down the system, but it's hurting my wallet and my landlord will still want his rent dispute this situation.

When it comes to the president, i don't expect him to be in the White House speaking Enochian incantations to make Sandy not have devastating effects. Must of the political action is taken by the governors of each state and its their decisions that effect how well prepared each state is.

With that being said, I do understand how the masses guided by mainstream media can be made to believe anything, so I could see Sandy being used in a positive or negative light when it comes to the upcoming presidential election.

Anyway, once again, thanks Mac.
