You are the boss here because you act in the name of the site owner and I will obey anything you tell me.
I have no problem if my users edit out my edits at the forum I own or at the forum I am moderator at. No problem at all. As long as they prove that they try to obey the rules I am totally happy. My idea of moderating is communication, help and friendliness. As well as on my own forum.
