BBCs Northern Ireland web page is reporting on rallies that have been held across the province on the 589th day since the collapse of the power sharing agreement that is underpinned by the Good Friday agreement.

Protesters in various locations including Enniskillen and Londonderry are warning MLAs that it was their votes that put them there, and it could be their votes that kick them out.

MLAs are still being paid despite not having assembled in those 589 days. Northern Irelands budget is currently managed by civil servants.

Under Good Friday, the majority DUP require the support of the minority Sinn Fein in order to be able to form a devolved government.
