I think this takes a lot of philosophy and perspective to answer this question.

One philosophy has it that ever since Eve ate that fruit Man has fallen into mortality where our spirit and body constantly wrestles with each other over good and evil like the devil and the angel on either side of our shoulder, hence the guilt. The term "Natural Man" is carnal in nature and as mortals we only think of our desires according to the flesh which I suppose is the dark side in us all. Listen to your cock and not your conscience. I suppose we all have our unique 'mortal' challenges if that makes any sense. I don't think I'll find the answer :/
