The furor over Peter Robinson's comments on the possibility of Irish re unification continues. The UUP/DUP feud is back in the news, a well as some internal bickering within the DUP. Apparently the unionists are arguing not on the outcome of a border poll, but on whether it should ever be allowed to take place. Curious position for a party whose name starts with "Democratic".

Actually, I think Sinn Fein pushing for a referendum on re unification is premature.
The unionists still hold a razor thin majority in the north, and a positive outcome in the south is no sure thing. So both unionist parties may actually be saving Sinn Fein from an embarrassing setback.
