They're still out there and have quite a following. I'm actually surprised more people here don't play them, or MUSHs. I play a MUSH called Shangrila, which has a big population and is Adult Only. It's a world with Slaves and Mistress/Masters.. Swords, magic, present day and futuristic people all play together.
Before I turned 18 though, I played a game called Achaea. Was a fun game to play. I couldn't play any of the big MMORPGs, cause I only had dialup and they need broadband.
