The last time I moved was a 1500 mile trip in a U-Haul, and it took us four days. The longer the journey, the more I worry. Like, did I remember everything? Did I remember to unplug everything?
Also when we moved to Canada for my work, we rented our home in the US to my sisters daughter and son in law. We only rented it to keep the property occupied and prevent it deteriorating. We didn't do it for the money as the property is paid for in full. All we asked the kids to do is cover the cost of the property tax which is only $120 a month. But all that is another worry, hoping they don't throw wild parties and piss the neighbors off.
