Only according to a Wikipedia article, but some of the weapons used for the Kingsmill shooting are linked to dozens of IRA actions between 1974 and their seizure in 1990.

I agree there is some thing fishy about the whole thing, but I am inclined to believe science over the testimony of a man that was shot 18 times but had the ability not to flinch when a bullet grazed his head!
