Quite the opposite. They gave me a promotion, and a big lump sum that let me clear the balance of the mortgage on my home in the US. Plus a nice wage hike with great expenses. Extras like a company car and other stuff.
I have no regrets about the move, it's just that I hate the fucking snow. I hate walking in it, I hate driving in it, and I really hate shovelling it off my drive.
