My Friday was about normal. No nominated driver so I stayed on beer only. Had a really nice steak too, which made me feel sleepy. Got home to a nice warm fire and a pot of coffee, God bless my good wife she is a saint. The dog stayed downstairs with me because of the fire, they do like the heat. I fell asleep on the recliner and woke up about 3.30am and went to bed. The dog had already fucked off upstairs once the fire had died out, gave me a one eye open look as I fell into bed.
Saturday evening took my wife out for a meal at a place she likes. Made plans for next years vacation. When we got home we left the TV off, lit the fire and made some more plans for other trips and visits. It was a pleasant evening just chatting by the fire without distraction from the goddam TV.
