Since the Russian rigging the EU referendum myth has been exploded, media here have now jumped on some military big wig banging on about a new Russian threat to the internet. Apparently they could cut trans-Atlantic fibre optic cables, taking out trade between Europe and North America.
Well yes, they could do that. We could do it too. Why would either though? Russia is in Europe, and damaging these cables would damage Russia as much as us!
Another post-truth story if you ask me.
