Financial migrant & London mayor
Hey board.
I'm pretty happy I've met this nice English guy this morning at the cafe. I will speak English agaaiiiinn :) His name's Justin. He said I have migrated to France because life in England is too expansive: a 3 bedroom house in London is up to 2.000.000£, and he has bought a 3 bedroom house here (Clermont Ferrand) for only 400.000 Euros. He said I don't want to get old in a studio, I like my country but we have a serious inflation problem. This got me wondering, why is England so expansive ? You have a lot of big companies, London is a huge stock exchange place....England has become the second economic power in Europe last year beating France by 15 billions in its 2015 benefits.... so why can't people have more buying power ? I thougt maybe this is due to the fact the English population is approximately 70 000 000 people, which is the same than the French population, but England surface is just 1/4 of France, so maybe that's why rent went so high, and it forced all businesses to increase their prices as well and that's how one of the most exciting country in the world became the most expensive country in the world. Am I close to the truth ? I've also asked him questions about the new London maire, who, as you know, is a Muslim. I've heard on the news the London Muslim community is pretty big, and they've contributed a lot to his election. So I was wondering, can a migrant vote in your country ? How long do you have to work in England before you can vote ? |
too many people on the rock dude
we should have birth control instead of brexit |
You don't have to work in the United Kingdom in order to vote, and that is part of the problem.

I think they fucked up big time voting to Brexit. The Leave verdict took the country by surprise and nobody had a plan for what to do next. Headless chickens running around now and all the big money people are dumping their UK Sterling and buying Euros and $$. And what about the tens or even hundreds of thousands of people in Britain whose jobs are related to the EU? Will they become unemployed?

brexit is a bless. our economy is mostly based on stock market values that can be sold all over the world without any border taxes, so in our out, it doesnt matter ! |

I hope not, sounds pretty dodgy to me...a serious financial institution or broker should have some better method for this kind of data.
