The movie section
 

Many of us may not spend much time there anymore or maybe never did, But it's what got me to join RB. I have since "moved on" in a way, to idle chat/rowdy room and the enjoyment of discussion and banter with those I am familiar with.
But I still go there now and then looking for, ahem "content".

Lately though it has become a clearing house for shitheads just trying to make money from their file hosts. There are way too many threads with nothing but russian crap, as an example. Many of these posters do not even acknowledge posts in their thread, positive or negative. They post the same crap others have and even post stolen links/content from other members. That only supports my belief that they are just trying to make a buck off of us monkeys downloading from their paying links.

The admins can only do what they can. They have their hands tied in a way. CR has always been the best at calling attention to asshole posters but he cannot do anything if they have not actually broken any rules. Adminsky says leave posters alone if they are not technically breaking any rules.

So I am wondering what can we do? Does anyone even care? I could name other boards I also belong to that do not seem to have this problem. Where members are "members" and try to post as a contribution. We still have such here but they are getting lost among the link-money-boys.

We used to maintain this place as a community. I see nothing in the movie section of late from anyone except newbs praising this shit.

When I came here it was to get the names of movies with rape scenes in them. Then I saw there was a lot of xxx content along the same lines, and began to fill up my hard drive.

Once I was done, I don't know why I didn't just keep it moving. Instead I decided to join the forum. I believe it's so I could talk to link minded people.

Back to the movie section, the only thread I use now is the Streaming thread. I can use my down load program, to download those movies without paying or having to wait, or even enter a captcha. I don't have the time to wait one hour to download the next part of a movie that is broken up into four parts, and I refuse to pay, cause I don't pay for anything online.

I don't post any movies myself, cause most of what I have is from here in the first place, and the few things that I might have that isn't on here, I would still have to look over everything just to check first, and I haven't gotten around to that.

Right now, I just post a little here and there, and eventually I will start putting up some stories, and do some role playing.

Personally I love this place, good bad or whatever. I just look at the glass as half full, and focus on the aspects of the site that I like.

I dont sweat the movie sections too much. Ninty percent of whats there is crap, not like the old days. These days I am like you Snark... I am here mainly for the back and forth discussions and kidding around. Thats also the main reason why I rarely visit other sites, the people I want to chat with are here... so this is where I stay.

I stick mainly to the mainstream movies section, z0di4c's thread is my favourite (it made me so sad to read that he's passed away), but there are other good posters, too. But yes, you have to pick out the good stuff.

As a newbie I beg all experienced posters to not stop posting the good stuff and leave the field to the poorer scenes. There is so much more to discover for new board members. :)

I will say that CR,Somedude & Baur 147 along with N88 & Ripit all I have noticed at trying to rid of bullshit.

I am just saying this to have in mind for mods, but I noticed how mods
