Hey guys, I just came across this service and I wanted to get some opinions about it. It's www.mydownloader.net and here's how it works: You sign up for an account with them and whenever you see a file from any of the popular file hosters (RapidShare, DepositFiles, MegaUpload, etc.) you put the download link into your MyDownloader account and it downloads it at the premium speed to its server then you download it from there. The advantage of it is that you can download from all the major hosts at premium speed without buying premium memberships at all of them and you can download 3000MB per day, therefore eliminating the download limits imposed by many of the hosts.

I'd like to know if anyone has tried it or if anyone sees something I'm missing here. They offer a three-day free trial and I'm thinking about it.....

Sounds great for people who are willing to pay anyway. Me, I absolutely refuse to pay for porn in any way anymore. Be it signing up for a website or a filehosting service. There are too many ways to get what you want if you have a bit of patience, bittorrent, usenet, or the lousy filesharing places. If it takes forever to get something from rapid, deposit etc... oh well, I can wait. Pretty much seen it all anyway.

yeah, i pay for a rapid account because its where i download everything, porn, regular movies, games, e-books, everything, but i wouldn't pay for anything else, although this downloader does sound interesting.

Is there anything else simmilar to this? Im looking for a packaged were Im givin passes to thoose sites for one set price...

IMPOSIBLE would be a better name for it
I have TRIED many times and never goten 1 file to come in
they just start and stop

they gave me 250MB free to test so I put in an "easy-share.com" file (33MB)
it was on there server in seconds
took me about 2 min to download it and it's working fine

when I purchesed the 30 days they took back the free 250MB they had given me
I should be just over 3200MB left and im 2966
but my bandwidth just lets me download 500MB a day so im fine

Great for the leachers but not for the providers huh?

Providers still pay to provide stuff for free for others.

Think about it and remember to say "Thanks" whenever you download. Because that's cool.

I think most places let you upload for free
last I checked you could upload all you like to RS.com and it would stay long as somone downloads it once every 3 months

I changed ISP's a few weeks back
now I can download upto about 4GB a day and just paying about 1/6th what I was

O and MyDownloader has increaced there limit to 15000MB a day

you do realize that with mydownloader you are not downloading from the other hosts at all
mydownloaded downloads from them and then you download from mydownloader
so your speed is based on the mydownloader server speed not on the host your getting it from in the first place

put in say 50 100MB files from RS
and 50 from say netloading and you will notess a difrence in spead
but still really nice

I've been using MyDownloader myself for the past few days. There is just too much good stuff on this board to struggle to download. I'm definitely glad I paid for it and it certainly seems worth the money (to me), though I don't mind paying $$$ for the convenience.

Nevertheless, it is a bit buggy. I find that downloading through their web page works better than through their standalone app. I don't understand the daily limit they provide; it seems to go up everyday (maybe it is cumulative). The best part is being able to queue up a bunch of files and then go away while the server passes them over for me.

I do feel like a leecher, Emily, but I don't really have anything to upload/share. I do appreciate all the great stuff people have diligently uploaded to this site. Tell me, what should I provide in return? ;)
