The wooden pony
 

A while back when i was surfing the web i came upon something with Catholic Guilts link to thier "wooden Pony". Ever since then i have fantasied of it many times...My question to you all is does anyone have any vids or pics of something like this? Not the male version...the one modified for women. I would greatly appreciate your feedback!!!

A: Yes. It's called a wooden pony or "the horse" and was once used as a traditional military punishment. The device was usually made up as an inverted V of two planks, set into legs and fitted on some sort of wheeled carriage; the victim would be sat astride the planks, his hands tied behind his back or sometimes to a rudimentary "neck" at one end of the planks and weights added to his feet before the whole contraption was pulled around the parade ground or some uneven earth nearby.

I expect that. on dismounting, they'd tend to walk rather like John Wayne...
